Aportaciones sólidas a la atmósfera originadas por un incendio forestal en el ámbito mediterráneo

Fly ash projected from the Sierra de la Almijara forest fire (Granada, August 1999) into adjacent soils were 252 Tm (0,168 gr/m2); this occurred mainly during the days of the fire. The mechanisms implied in the evolution of the gas clouds accelerate the deposition of the mineral particles suspended in the air. These mineral particles are agglutinated into microspherules by the water vapor released. The global rate of deposition obtained for the week of the forest fire underwent an increase of 50 % in comparison to the rate of atmospheric dust deposited under normal conditions.
