Abstract

A method is developed for calculating the natural recharge of an aquifer from the hydrograph of the spring, using a closed multiple cell model. Iterative formulae for modeling are given together with the calibration phases. This methodology is applied to the spring at Vozmediano.
The net recharge of precipitation is 37 %, for the average precipitation in the Vozmediano system (714 mm/yr). The results are compared to independent methods of estimating recharge.
