In this paper we analyze the present methods of estimation of the thermodynamic properties of silicates with special emphasis on the free energy and enthalpy of zeolites. These data are not available in the literature, as these phases are chemically complexo The obtained values allow us to build the 10 following thermodynamic equilibrium diagrams: solubility of laumontite, chabazite, analcime, volcanic glass, zeolite A and zeolite X, and stability diagrams of chabazite-analcime-phillipsite-volcanic glass, clinoptilolite-phillipsite-erionite, prehnite-laumontite-heulandite, and kaolinite-metakaolinhidrosodalite-zeolite A. These diagrams can be useful to understand the genesis of these minerals and the processes that allow their formation in the laboratory.
