Chango Real Formation is part of Lower Paleozoic magmatism in Sierras Pampeanas Range, Northwestern Argentina. It is a biotitic, granitic ortogneiss, peraluminous, calcalkaline from Cambrian(?), different from others Ordovician batholiths. The origin of the magma was in a convergent active margin of plate, generated in the middle crust. It evolved by fractional crystallization (the last stage ended at 4 kb and 680º C) and was deformed during Famatinian Cycle (Ordovician-Silurian).
