The stratigraphy of the lower Cretaceous and the sedimentology of the litoestratigraphic units are studied in the southern margin of the Los Cameros Basin, province of Soria, Spain. Three depositional sequences have been stablished, corresponding to three Formations. In the upper one, a Member has been diferenciated. The sedimentological study has revealed that the sediments were formed in continental environments, fluvio-lacustrine in the basal formation, sandy fluvial systems whose proximal areas were situated towards the east in the intermediate one, and alluvial fans for the younger unit. The resulting sedimentary sequences are complex, as several sedimentary cycles can be diferenciated into them. The tendency is coarsening in the SD2 and fining in the SD1 and SD3, always due to the movement of important faults (S. Leonardo and Las Cuevas de Soria) that constituted the margin of the basin.
