The steady and unsteady two-dimensional ground water flow mathematical modelling with the finite-difference model MODFLOW shows the high permeability values (200-700 m/d) and the average storativity value of 4% in the Almuñécar fertil palin in the Río Verde Aquifer (Granada). In spite of the fresh water recharge increase in the aquifer since 1985/86 (6.7 hm 3) to 1986/87 (10.4 hm 3,salt water intrusion volume go on increasing every year (in this case from 2.8 to 3.2 hm 3). A posible solution to this matter is to carry out an artificial recharge. So, a recharge of 8 hm 3 of water in a point in the aquifer is modelled for eight months. The piezometric level react inmediatly to the recharge, just like it let down when the recharge stop. Of 8 hm 3, 7 run away to the sea. Salt water intrusion decreases while the recharge is carried out, athough when the recharge is stopped the salt water intruded volume recover the inicial value.
