Mineral assemblage in metapelites and quarts segregations have been studied in the Somosierra massif. Proposed mineral zonas have a spatial relation with a major ducile shear zone, the Berzosa Fault (B.S.Z.), interpreted as a Hercynian synmetamorphic structure. The relationships beetwen the main crystal growth phase, and the Hercynian second deformation phase, have been stablished.
