Abstract


The ocurrence of Aphanius crassicaudus (AGASSIZ), a Cyprinodont fish, already known in the Messinian of Italy and Crete, is, for the first time, mentioned in Andalusia, in the post-evaporitic Messini an sediments, near Sorbas (Province of Almería). The palaoecological significance of these Fishes is examined.
