I describe the planktonic foraminifera assemblage in Casas Virgili and point out some problems about their biostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy. Particularly, I analyze three different hypotheses trying to explain the presence of some scarce elements which are more recent age than the rest. I propose contamination of lower Langhian samples as the most probable hypothesis.
