Abstract

This paper presents an attempt to classily groups of nodules and concretions that exist in the geological bibliography. We identify different models joining them in the principal genetic types. Three types are defined: models according to the growth's time, to the type of emplacement, and to the growth's mechanism. These models have been correlated with the different diagenetic classical stages, defined by Faibridge (1967). This correlation allows us to established a temporal distribution in relation to the diagenetic evolution of the different models.
