Determination of the spatial continuity by means of variogram function implies to treat with variables not following ideal conditions for applying the classic and traditional estimator of variogram function. This estimator performs very well for normal processes, regular and representative sampling and absence of outliers. In this paper we make a revision of three alternative methods to perform estimation of variogram values: Cressie and Hawkins estimator and two univariate weighting estimators, one based on the Cumulative Distribution Function and other based on the Probability Density Function.
