Abstract

The new and evident field observations about the middle marine Eocene of Montcalb-La Corriu (South bórder of the Pedraforca zone, catalán Pyrenees) allows us to judge the opinions of some authors, to fix your chronological position in relation to the incases continental conglomeratic formations ,and to find out that this marine Eocene consist in two outsize (kilometric order) slide blocks placed by tectonic and synsedimentary processes during the first phase of the pyrenean molassic sedimentation of the upper Eocene, The relationship of the marine Eocene of Sant Llorenç de Morunys with their limitting continental series at N and S, remain corroborated in accordance with the classic ideas of the authors.
