Four new sites of vertebrates are described in the continental deposits of the Granada basin. The dates obtained provide sorne new boundaries of age. The sites are located in the fifth depositional sequence distinguished by Rodríguez-Femández et al. (1989) in the infilling of the basin. Two of them (Cortijo de las Nieves and Cerro Parejo) are placed near to the base of the mentioned sequence and belong to the lower Pleistocene and the other two situated c10se to the top correspond to the middle Pleistocene. This fifth depositional sequence represent the last depositional unit of the infilling of the basin. During upper Pleistocene time, as in the Guadix-Baza basin happens, a general erosion proccess took place, and the recent fluvial network was established.
